The Bin — Privacy Policy

The Bin ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed by The Bin.

1. Information Collection and Use

We do not collect any personal information (PII) that directly identifies you unless you voluntarily provide it. We use third-party services to provide the core functionality of the app, ensure app stability, and maintain security, including:

• Google Play Services
• Firebase Analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics
• Firebase Authentication (Anonymous Login)
• Cloud Firestore
• Cloud Functions
• Firebase App Check
• Google AdMob (advertising — see Section 4)

2. Application Content and User-Generated Content (UGC)

Our application allows users to submit, view, and interact with anonymous text content ("Trash"). We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content or abusive users.

• Content Moderation: You must not submit content that is illegal, defamatory, abusive, offensive, or otherwise violates our Terms of Service.
• Reporting System: Users can report inappropriate content directly within the application. We review reported content and maintain the right to remove any content that violates our policies.
• User Blocking: Users have the ability to block other users. Once blocked, you will no longer see content generated by the blocked user.

We strongly advise against submitting any personally identifiable or sensitive information in your posts, as all submissions are public.

3. Account and Data Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can do so directly within the application. Navigate to the Settings menu and select Delete Account. Upon confirmation, your anonymous account and all your generated content will be permanently removed from our active systems.

4. Advertising

The Bin displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, a mobile advertising service operated by Google LLC. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its partners may collect and process the following data:

• Advertising identifiers (e.g., the Android Advertising ID) and other device identifiers.
• Approximate location, inferred from your IP address.
• App interaction data and diagnostics related to ad delivery.

This data is transmitted to and shared with Google and may be used to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud and abuse. The Bin does not sell your personal information.

You can opt out of personalized advertising and reset your advertising identifier at any time through your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads on some devices).

5. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. We advise you to review this page for any changes.
